In a conference centre, it is essential that sound reaches every attendee’s ears clearly, and echoes must be prevented at all costs. Therefore, the walls and ceilings of rooms within the conference centre are typically fitted with perforated panels, backed with acoustic nonwoven or an additional layer of sound-absorbing foam, to enhance sound absorption and prevent sound wave reflections.To improve sound insulation between different rooms, an additional layer of soundproofing felt can be fitted to the walls to enhance sound insulation and prevent sound from travelling between rooms.
Typical Acoustic Design
The ceiling is constructed using perforated panels, with Silence tech acoustix nonwoven bonded to the rear of the panels. The standard perforation rate is 10–30 per cent, which absorbs mid- to high-frequency sound waves and reduces echoes.
The walls are fitted with perforated wooden acoustic panels, backed with Silence Tech acoustic non-woven fabric and Silence Tech acoustic fiber wool, which effectively absorb broadband sound waves and further reduce echoes.
